GEOGRAPHY BEFORE SPECULATION

A future map.
Honest about uncertainty.

This is an interpretive 2040 scenario, using the project pipeline discussed as of mid-2026. Higher confidence does not mean guaranteed completion.

Real geography

The map uses WGS84 coordinates on a Web Mercator basemap. OpenStreetMap track vertices and mapped station locations are retained; stations are never evenly spaced or moved to tidy up the map.

No invented precision

Community mapping is not a construction survey. Station footprints use their mapped centre, and sources may be incomplete or outdated. Possible alignments are inferred from named corridors and endpoints in public documents. Double lines mark these interpretations and tentative community proposals; they do not indicate two tracks. Open a route to inspect evidence, assumptions and alignment confidence. Projects without enough corridor evidence remain study areas. A place marker is never presented as a station.

Two separate questions

The 2040 assessment concerns whether a project might be delivered. Geometry quality concerns where its track and stations are mapped. These assessments are independent.

Baseline and geometry dates

Project descriptions reflect the mid-2026 discussion and dated references. Geographic extracts are cartographic references, not a frozen 30 June 2026 inventory. Live PPP listings may differ from the historical baseline.

Station photos & plans

Open a mapped station or use its line’s station explorer to see available photographs, design renderings and historical plan extracts. Captions identify the image type and date; a design image is not evidence of completion. Tap an image to view it at full size. Photo credits, licences and source documents are shown with each image.
